Some exciting news during these challenging times
In 2017 Graduate Orthodontics at Western University were presented with the challenge of establishing the Dr. Antonios Mamandras Endowment Fund.
The goal was to raise $1,000,000 dollars. On March 31st 2020, we successfully achieved our fundraising goal and even surpassed it by securing donations totalling $1,030,000.
The immense amount of effort and support from Graduate Orthodontic alumni and friends to achieve our goal has been truly inspiring. Thank you so much to each and every one of you who supported this initiative by making a gift, and sincere thanks to those who encouraged others to support the cause.
Western University will now match the $1,030,000 in funds we have raised with a gift of $1,030,000! These dollars will be combined with the existing $1-million from a fund established in 2009, to establish the $3M+ chair.
The Dr. Antonios Mamandras Chair will be the first endowed Chair in a Canadian graduate program, as well as, at the dental school at Western. It will provide the Graduate Orthodontic program with a source of stable funding to attract and retain top faculty, and secure the program’s reputation as a leading Graduate Orthodontic program in North America.
Thank you and congratulations to all! You deserve it.
