I hope you have seen and made use of the new CAO Campaign materials.  It is available to all members via the members website.

I am proud of this fantastic new message of positivity, hope and relief after what we experienced recently. As we wind down the current CAO PR campaign at the end of 2021, I love this message centered on our profession and what we do for our patients.

Despite the lack of in-person meetings and conferences, we have been busy and proactive at the CAO, keeping the organization on the move. A comprehensive website refresh is planned for this year.  We have made significant inroads into insurance predetermination. These changes are designed to assist those who chose to submit predeterminations electronically. Our membership plans for implementation are well underway under the stewardship of Dr. Brian Phee.  Dr. Howard Steiman and his committee, with the help of TouchPoint AMC and our industry partners have put together a top-notch virtual CE program, that is currently live. I encourage all members and staff to register for the remaining sessions and to keep an eye out for new sessions as they are added throughout the year. CE certificates will be provided to all who register.

I am grateful to all members of the Board for their dedication and responsiveness to all these projects and our members. The CAO Board continues its work to ensure that all CAO expenditures show direct membership benefit.

I look forward to seeing everyone in person in Saskatoon in 2022.I extend my best wishes for a safe, happy, and relaxing summer. I was off to the Air Canada website to book my first flight in 18 months, but alas the site has crashed!

Cheers,

pres sig
