In January, 2018, the ADA&C introduced a Specialty Fee Guide which included a complete listing of codes to which, historically, the CAO has strongly opposed. The CAO / ASO executives have worked together to open lines of communication with the ADA&C.

The ASO has been lobbying to have all Dental Regulatory Authorities step up with an official policy statement on Direct-to-Consumer orthodontic services. The CAO and its component societies are pressing the DRAs to take a stance on such activity.

The Alberta Society of Orthodontists will be holding its Annual Scientific Session and Meeting in beautiful Banff on Friday April 5th and Saturday April 6th, 2019. The themes this year are especially applicable to the younger Orthodontists in the crowd – but also to the seasoned practitioner who has been waiting to transition into the digital world of practice. Speakers include Dr. Jason Cope and Dr. Cole Johnson.
